View from across the road from the hilton hotel we stayed in the night we arrived at the UK. This is on the outskirts of the city of Manchester, near the village of Disley, in the Peak District.
I took this as a multi-shot panorama in the early morning, just after dawn, to try and give a feeling for the place. We could watch (and hear) the cows in the nearby field.

 thanks for looking!My husband is from the USA (Vermont) and is still surprised by the abrupt transition between city/town/village and countryside in England. I think he was amazed to find the Peak District so close to Manchester -- Ruin'd Castles & Old Engravings in the Public Domain   *dapride stock at ~barefootliam-stockabsolutely beautiful. at first i thought that you might need a haze filter, but after looking at it a while i'm inclined to think differently.
-- Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder.... and so are Charm Person, Telekinesis and Cause Serious Wounds. Howdy stranger. I haven't talked to you in a long while. I think this is beautiful. Gorgeous senery.

Since the cows were a field away the smell was more of the rolling hills and little mountains dotted with sheep, a fresh and invigorating smell.
